Sweden is a land of incredible contrast. Home to a vast array of landscapes - from the dense pine forests and craggy mountains of the north, to the rolling hills and glossy golden beaches of the south. Sweden is a stunningly beautiful country which boasts an incredible amount of flat water which is ideally suited to touring.
To illustrate this point Urban Recovery has created a world class city tour taking in views of Stockholm from the water. Stockholm is uniquely situated on 14 islands and linked by 57 bridges, earning it the affectionate nickname “The Venice of the North.”
The Stockholm archipelago is a cluster of some 30,000 islands, skerries and rocks spreading 80 km east from the city into the Baltic Sea. Some are large inhabited islands famed for swinging summer parties and others are little more than rocky outposts or grassy knolls visited by the odd seal or kayaker. Nowhere on earth can you find such an abundance of natural islands so close together. Here you can create your own fairytale... take a swim off the smooth rocky shores or keep an eye open for blueberries as you take a stroll around the greener parts of the islands. Parts of the Stockholm archipelago are nominated to become a World Heritage site and National Park.
Your experienced Urban Recovery team will guide you through the Archipelago, its history, nature, and will even bring along tasty food!
