SOUTH AFRICA is a large, diverse and incredibly beautiful country. Located at the southern tip is Cape Town, Africa’s most beautiful, most romantic and most visited city. Its physical setting is extraordinary but it's the unique combination of exotic wildlife and vibrant nightlife and city culture which sets it apart. You can literally hang out with baboons and zebras at Cape Point in the morning, dine at an Atlantic seaboard bistro for lunch, drink fine wine at a wine estate in the afternoon and party the night away in a Long Street club in the evening.
For wind lovers the Capetown is particularly special. Each year in and around the Cape Peninsula the "Cape Doctor" (the local name for the strong, persistent and dry south-easterly wind that blows on the South African coast) comes through from spring to late summer (September to March in the southern hemisphere) to create world class Kitesurfing conditions, drawing in the top pros and international enthusiasts alike.
If big waves and strong winds are not your thing then Langebaan has an answer. This idyllic little seaside town on the South African west coast. It is located at the edge of the breath taking Langebaan lagoon, 100 km north of buzzing Cape Town. Almost year round sunshine and reliable winds make Langebaan a paradise for watersports lovers. Besides sailing and fishing, kitesurfing and windsurfing have become very popular. It is also ideal for stand up paddling (SUP) or kayak sessions to beautiful white beaches with flamingos and seals. The lagoon is part of a protected area, the West Coast National Park.
